Verification procedure in 3 steps

Transmission of the barcode/2D code

a) For verification of the structure, dimensions and check digit, please send an e-mail to strichcodepruefservice@gs1.at and attach the code in a PDF (no JPG or PNG).

b) For additional determination of (print) quality according to ISO/IEC 15416:2016 or 15415:2011 (DPM according to ISO/IEC TR 29158:2011) please send the original code by post to GS1 Austria, Brahmsplatz 3, A-1040 Vienna.

Your code will be verified

Measurement of the barcode/2D code according to the relevant standards (ISO/IEC 15416:2016, 15415:2011 or 29158:2011) and the current GS1 specifications.

You will receive the GS1 verification report

You will receive the finished report by e-mail.

On the first page of the report, there is a verification summary, in which the respective application area of the checked barcode symbol is discussed. On the second page, the symbol is analyzed according to GS1 and ISO parameters. If necessary, the report is supplemented by explanatory comments and information.

Verification fees

For GS1 Austria customer

For the first two checks per month:
€ 0,-/code excl. VAT.

Each additional check per month:
€ 20,-/code excl. VAT

For all other companies

€ 60,-/code excl. VAT

Note: For GS1 transport labels only the structure will be verified, for EPC (Electronic Product Code) only the content. Both can be submitted for verification.
